|“||Last night I got out of the fog, in a matter of speaking. I arrived in a pocket of tranquillity where the monster was nowhere to be seen. I stopped running and was immediately filled with a strange calmness. I lay down near the bonfire and closed my eyes for the first time in what seemed like days. After long, deep breaths, I plunged into what I first thought was the darkness of a dreamless sleep. And then I saw it. The Bloodweb, a space between reality and abstraction. There is no sleep here, only torment. Even my own mind is shared and bent at the Entity's will.||„|

Aside from Chests , it's the only possible way in the game to get Unlockables by purchasing Nodes, which cost Bloodpoints . Each Character has their own unique Bloodweb and all of them are procedurally generated, meaning that it's practically impossible to find two identical Bloodwebs between or on the same Character(s).
After unlocking every available Node in a Bloodweb (minus the ones claimed by The Entity ), the Character will level up, generating a new Bloodweb. As a Character's Level increases, the Bloodweb will offer more and more Nodes per web to the player. After a Character reaches Level 10, The Entity will begin to consume a Node itself for each Node the Player takes, making some rewards impossible to obtain in that Bloodweb.
Only the inner circle of Nodes can be accessed immediately, the outer circles require you to open paths between claimed and unclaimed Nodes. Paths taken by The Entity can't be crossed.
The Bloodweb is made up of Nodes, circular cells that are interconnected with paths and contain the Unlockables.
Nodes come in different Rarities that depend on the type of Unlockable they display. Their cost is directly linked to their Rarity.

Up to Patch 1.8.2
- Rarer Nodes tended to spawn on the outer circles of the Bloodweb and the cost was determined by the circle Nodes spawned on:

- Middle circle: 5,000 BPs
- Outer circle: 8,000 BPs
Up to Patch 2.0.0

Up to Patch 2.3.0
- Perks could not be obtained on Levels 2, 3 & 4.
- Main article: Add-ons
- Main article: Levels
The Bloodweb consists of different Levels and ranges from Levels 1 through 50. Once a Bloodweb reaches Level 50, the Player is given the option to Prestige or can infinitely renew the Level 50 Bloodweb.
- Main article: Mystery Boxes
Mystery Boxes are a type of special rewards of different rarities, that can contain any other Unlockable with the exception of Perks. They appear on the Bloodweb at levels 3, 5, and then every 5 levels after that.
- Main article: Items
Items are a category of loadout for Survivors and can be used to aid an escape. Items can be obtained through the Bloodweb or by finding them in Chests during a trial.
- Main article: Offerings
Offerings are burnt in The Campfire and can alter the game quite a bit.
- Main article: Perks
The smaller Bloodwebs generated at Levels 1 through 25 will generally spawn one Perk, the larger Bloodwebs generated at Levels 15 and 20 and from Level 25 onwards will spawn two Perks, but one of them will be taken by The Entity, so choose wisely. The very smallest Bloodwebs from Levels 1 through 4 have a chance of spawning no Perk.
The Tier I version of a Characters Unique Perks are unlocked for them by default.
Bloodweb Levels 30, 35 and 40 will always spawn the Teachable version of a Character's Unique Perks unless they have already been purchased through the Shrine of Secrets.
- You can trick The Entity into consuming a big chunk of the Bloodweb by cleverly intersecting its paths and guiding it towards Key Nodes that pose the only access point for others.
- If you are looking for a particular Perk, it is suggested to unlock a Perk from every Bloodweb and not leave any out. This will narrow down future options, eventually increasing your likelihood of receiving the desired Perk.
- The Entity will always consume any potential second Perk in your Bloodweb.
|“||I return to the space I call the Bloodweb as often as I can. I feel like I'm starting to gain more control over it. I'm able to focus and travel to deeper levels. Here's a fair warning to anyone who might attempt to follow my steps: Tread carefully, as the Bloodweb is unpredictable and ever-changing.||„|

|“||I have found that on deeper levels of the Bloodweb, I can learn and collect better tools. The deeper I go, and the more marvel I can extirpate from the figment of fog. This comes at a price, however. The Entity that rules over this world grows restless with my attempts to know more. Each time I move further in the web, It makes sure to devour and consume something else. I must choose carefully what I want to extract from this journey across the web.||„|

|“||Today I have reached a deeper sub-level of the Bloodweb which opened my mind to more possibilities. I have no way to know how deep I can go, but I must continue as long as I can withhold my sanity.||„|

|“||I feel confident that I can inculcate my awareness of the Bloodweb to the others that are trapped here with me. Maybe they can unlock their inner strength with my help.||„|

- During the BETA, the Bloodweb was locked after reaching Level 5. However, because Players were able to complete the Level 5 Bloodweb, it capped at Level 6.
