Description
You are fuelled with an unexpected energy when saving an ally from a Hook.

Survivors you unhook benefit from the following effects:

  • Extends the duration of their EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor Status Effect by 6/8/10 seconds.
  • Extends the duration of their HasteIconStatusEffects haste Status Effect by 10 seconds.

IconPerks borrowedTime 30 seconds 35 seconds 40 seconds You are fuelled with an unexpected energy when saving an Ally from a hook within the Killer's Terror Radius.

Once per Trial, for 20 seconds after unhooking a Survivor within the Killer's Terror Radius, both Survivors are protected by the Endurance Status Effect.

Any damage taken that would put either Survivor into the Dying State will instead trigger a Bleed-Out timer of 30/35/40 seconds.

Taking any damage during or reaching the end of the Bleed-Out timer will put the Survivors into the Dying State.

Borrowed Time's effects are cancelled prematurely if the unhooked Survivor performs a Conspicuous Action.

  • Nerf: Borrowed Time only activates for the unhooked Survivor.
  • Buff: Borrowed Time has unlimited uses.

Patch 2.4.0

  • Change: Borrowed Time applies the Deep Wound Status Effect.
    • Nerf: slightly reduced the bleed-out timer.
    • Buff: the bleed-out timer pauses when being chased by the Killer.

Patch 3.4.0

  • Buff: the bleed-out timer now pauses whenever a Survivor is sprinting or Mending.

Patch 4.5.0

  • Buff: changed the bleed-out timer to be 20 seconds across all Tiers.
  • Nerf: changed the Endurance duration to be variable (10/12/15 seconds).

Patch 4.7.0

  • Buff: removed the Terror Radius condition, now allowing Borrowed Time to activate regardless of whether the Killer has a Terror Radius or not.
  • Nerf: reduced the Endurance duration 8/10/12 seconds.

Patch 6.1.0

  • Rework: now extends the durations of the default Endurance and Haste Status Effects Survivors gain after being unhooked.
  • Nerf: added the Conspicuous Actions as Deactivation conditions.


Trivia

  • Borrowed Time triggers each time its user unhooks another Survivor.
  • If a Survivor gets caught in a Bear TrapIconPowers trap while under the effects of Deep Wound, freeing themselves or being rescued by another Survivor will return them to the Injured State instead.
    • However, if The TrapperIconHelpLoading trapper uses the Honing StoneIconAddon honingStone Add-on, its effect will override this if the Survivor frees themselves, putting them into the Dying State.
  • Before removing the Terror RadiusIconHelp terrorRadius condition in Patch 4.7.0, Borrowed Time would not activate to false or illusionary Terror Radii and stealth Killers would not trigger the Perk.
