Whenever the Killer attempts to read your Aura
, Distortion activates, consuming 1 Token, and the following effects apply:
- Blocks your Aura from being read for the next 6/8/10 seconds.
- Suppresses the creation of Scratch Marks
for the next 6/8/10 seconds.
, Distortion recharges 1 Token.
Distortion cannot accumulate more Tokens than its initial count.
Distortion does not activate when you are in the Dying State

- Change: Updated the description to reflect that it does not trigger when the Survivor is in the Dying State or affected by Traps.

- Buff: increased the initial Token count from 3 Tokens to 4 Tokens.
- This change was motivated by the addition of numerous Aura-reading Unlockables since the original addition of this Perk.

- Rework: added a way to recharge the Perk.
- Buff: removed the stipulation of not working when caught in a Killer Trap.
- QoL: every 30 seconds spent in the Killer's Terror Radius, grants 1 Token.
- The Perk plays an audio cue when a Token is used.
- Nerf: reduced the starting Tokens back from 4 Tokens to 3 Tokens.

Whenever a Token is consumed by Distortion, this sound cue will play:
Trivia
- Should the Aura-reveal duration exceed the maximum duration Distortion can shield you for, another Token will be consumed, if available, to shield you again.
If there are no more Tokens left, your Aura will be revealed for the remainder of the Aura-reveal duration. - It is not advised to use Distortion together with Object of Obsession, as it will quickly lose Tokens due to the regular Aura-reveal.
- The initial quote in the flavour text is a reference to "Freyja", the Goddess of love, sex, beauty, fertility, gold, seiðr (magic of fortune-telling), war, and death in Norse mythology.
- Distortion will not lose Tokens while the Killer is affected by the Blindness Status Effect.

Therefore this Aura-reading effect is cancelled by Distortion (when it has at least 1 or more Tokens).
