Exhaustion is a Status Effect IconHelp statusEffects.png that prevents a Survivor from using multiple sprint-inducing Perks at the same time or in quick succession.

Overview[edit | edit source]

While under the effects of Exhaustion, a Status Effect IconHelp statusEffects.png with a cool-down will be shown.

Once the Exhaustion meter has fully recovered, Exhaustion Perks become usable again.

Exhaustion will not recover while running.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Exhaustion was introduced in Patch 1.5.0
  • It was originally implemented to prevent the use of the Survivor Machine Gun where Sprint Burst and Balanced Landing on Tier 3 were used in quick succession to receive a total amount of 6 seconds of sprint, easily escaping any Killer.
  • Adrenaline IconPerks adrenaline.png is the only Perk using this mechanic, that ignores its application to itself as it's a one-shot Perk.
  • Vigil IconPerks vigil.png is the only Perk that decreases the cool-down for the Exhaustion Status.
  • Up to Patch 2.1.0, Exhaustion could be recovered while running, albeit at only half the speed, meaning that an Exhaustion of 40 seconds would take 80 seconds to recover while constantly running.
  • Up to Patch 1.8.0, crouching would accelerate the recovery of the Exhaustion meter by 33 %.
