The Eternal Blight is an Event in Dead by Daylight that occurred between 21 October and 4 November 2020.
It kicked off the in-game celebrations in honour of Halloween 2020.
Overview
The Eternal Blight is a type of Halloween-themed in-game Event, which temporarily added new Objectives to the Gameplay of Killers and Survivors.
It was part of the reoccurring Blight Event; its predecessors were the 2018 The Hallowed Blight Event and the 2019 The Withering Blight Event.
In-Game Changes
- Re-enabled the All Hallows' Eve Lunchbox Med-Kit.
- Re-enabled the Will O' Wisp Flashlight.
- Re-enabled the Pustula Petals Offering.
- Added a new Add-on for Flashlights: Broken Bulb.
- Added a new Add-on for Med-Kits: Refined Serum.
- Added a new Add-on for all Killers: Blight Serum.
- Added additional Halloween-themed props to the Lobby Map of CHAPTER 17: Descend Beyond.
The Event Items and Add-ons could be found in newly generated Bloodwebs and the former also in Chests located throughout the Trial Grounds.
The Event Offering would increase the amount of Blighted Hooks and Generators that spawned in the Trial Grounds and increase the Bonus Bloodpoints one received from interacting with them.
Not burning the Offering would still grant Bonus Bloodpoints, but fewer.
