- This article is an overview of all Med-Kits featured in Dead by Daylight.
For other uses, see Med-Kit (disambiguation).
Med-Kits are a type of Item Survivors can use in Dead by Daylight.
Overview[]
The Med-Kits are a Healing Item used to speed up Healing Actions on other Survivors, who are either injured or dying.
The rarer the Med-Kit, the faster its Altruistic Healing speed.
Med-Kits can also be used to self-heal when injured, but this applies a considerable speed de-buff and an Efficiency penalty to the Item, allowing for a maximum of just one full self-heal with any Med-Kit, making it a wasteful action on rarer Med-Kits and in general an action that should only be taken in dire situations.

Calculations[]
- All Med-Kits have 24 Charges by default; one Health State requires 16 Charges.
Personal Healing[]
- Personal Healing is afflicted by a Healing Speed and Item Efficiency penalty of -33.333 % each.
- This reduces the Personal Healing Speed of all Med-Kits to 66.666 % or 0.666 c/s.
- This increases the Item Consumption rate to -1.333 c/s or 133.333 %, meaning for each 1 Charge put into the Health State, the Med-Kit loses 1.333 Charges from its Capacity, allowing to self-heal for just 1 Health State.
Med-Kit | Penalty Percentage | Healing Speed: Base Value |
Healing Speed: Penalty Speed |
Healing Speed: Resulting Speed |
Resulting Healing Time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
All Med-Kits | -33 % | 1 c/s | -0.33 c/s | 0.67 c/s | ~24 seconds |
Altruistic Healing[]
- Altruistic Healing has an increased Healing speed by +35 to +50 %, depending on the Med-Kit.
- Altruistic Healing has a default Consumption rate of 100 % or -1 c/s across all Med-Kits.
This allows to heal the equivalent of 1.5 Health States.
