Some Perks and Add-ons can trigger the Obsession game play. If this happens, one Survivor is selected to be the Killer's Obsession for the trial. The Killer and the Obsession will see Entity 's claws around the Obsession's status icon, but other Survivors will not know who the Obsession is until they die or escape.
The effects of Obsession depend on the Perks and Add-ons that triggered it.

You become obsessed with one Survivor. As long as your Obsession is alive, after being in a chase for 20 seconds the cooldown for your next successful attack is decreased by 30/35/40 %. Your successful attack cooldown remains active for 5 seconds seconds after a chase. Re-initialising a chase before the 5 seconds have lapsed will reset the successful attack cooldown timer. Only one Obsession per match.

You become obsessed with one Survivor. Every time you chase your Obsession and let them escape, you receive a Token up to a maximum of 3 Tokens. Each Token increases your movement speed by 3/4/5 %. Each offensive action spends one Token. Only one Obsession per match.

You become obsessed with one Survivor. Your Obsession's altruistic action speed is increased by 38/44/50 %. Once the Obsession is killed or sacrificed, every other Survivor gets a penalty of 19/22/25 % to repair, healing and sabotage speed. Only one Obsession per match.

Survivor Perks[edit | edit source]
Each Survivor killed or sacrificed disrupts the Killer's Aura reading ability.

If you are the Killer's Obsession and look in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other. This effect applies only if you are outside the Killer's Terror Radius, to a maximum range of 56/64/72 meters. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of 44/56/64 meters.

Once per match, when the Killer's Obsession , succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 3/3.5/4 seconds. When not the Killer's Obsession, when the wiggle meter is at 45/40/35 % succeed in a Skill Check to escape the grasp.
