This article is an overview of all Toolboxes featured in Dead by Daylight. For other uses, see Toolbox (disambiguation).

Toolboxes are a type of Item IconHelp items.png the Survivors IconHelpLoading survivor.png can use in Dead by Daylight IconHelp DBDlogo.png.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Toolboxes have two main uses: repairing Generators IconHelpLoading generators.png faster and sabotaging Hooks IconHelpLoading hook.png and Bear Traps IconPowers trap.png without the need of the Perk Saboteur IconPerks saboteur.png.

Not all Toolboxes are suited for both aforementioned uses, some are specialised for just one of them and perform badly when used for the other.

Add-ons can be equipped to enhance their speed and durability.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Mechanic's Toolbox FulliconItems mechanicsToolbox.png is aimed at repairing Generators IconHelpLoading generators.png and should not be used with the intention to sabotage if one doesn't want to waste it.
  • The Engineer's Toolbox FulliconItems engineersToolbox.png is solely aimed at repairing Generators and cannot be used to sabotage by itself.
  • Alex's Toolbox FulliconItems alexsToolbox.png is aimed at sabotaging Hooks IconHelpLoading hook.png and the likes and should not be used with the intention to repair Generators if one doesn't want to waste it.
  • Alex's Toolbox FulliconItems alexsToolbox.png is named after one of the beta testers who would always sabotage the hook. It is an inside joke, although the developers have not discounted the possibility of an Alex in fiction the tools could belong to.
