The following is a list of weapons in Dead by Daylight.

The Trapper

The Cleaver

The cleaver is the primary weapon of the Trapper. It is a simple, but yet crudely bladed weapon. If the Trapper misses an attack with the cleaver, he will stumble because of the brutality of his swing. If he hits a survivor, he will stop to wipe off the blood on his arm. The cleaver has a relatively small hit radius.

Bear Trap

The bear trap is the secondary weapon of the Trapper, and many can be found lying in various places around the map. Despite there being many bear traps in the map, the Trapper can only carry one trap at a time, unless he has the Trapper Bag addon. When setting a trap, the Trapper looks down and his vision becomes obscured. It takes about 3 seconds to set a trap, and skilled survivors can run past and do actions while setting traps because of this.

The Wraith

A. Azarov's Skull

A. Azarov's Skull is the primary weapon of the Wraith. When Philip Ojomo (the Wraith) found out that his boss A. Azarov used his car wrecking business to murder people, Philip threw his boss into the crusher. When he saw his boss in a tiny cube, he pulled the skull spine out of the bones. Ojomo made this into a dangerous weapon after disappearing forever, and subsequently became the Wraith.

Wailing Bell

The wailing bell is the secondary weapon of the Wraith. The wailing bell holds ancient powers, both with good and bad things. When ringing the bell, the Wraith can alternate between being visible and almost fully invisible. When invisible, survivors do not hear their heartbeat, and Wraith's stain is also gone. The Wraith walks slightly faster when cloaked. The sound of the bell is very loud, and survivors can hear it regardless of their distance from the Wraith; however the audio volume will indicate the Wraith's distance from the player. The volume of the bell can be reduced with addons. The direction of the killer can not be tracked by survivors when at far distances, but when the Wraith is nearby a survivor, the survivor can hear the bell and eventually track the Wraith. Whilst cloaked, the Wraith can not attack; break pallets; or perform other interactions. It takes about 2 seconds to cloak and decloak, and during this time the Wraith's movement speed is reduced.

The Hillbilly

The Hammer

The hammer is the primary weapon of the Hillbilly. It is a very old, crude, and a longly used hammer. Unlike both the Trapper and the Wraith, the Hillbilly twists the hammer into the air, making sure he'll use the other side of the hammer at the next hit, so the blood can drip off of it.

The Chainsaw

The chainsaw is the secondary weapon of the Hillbilly. When revved up, it sends the Hillbilly into a frenzy. This old, but crude chainsaw cuts through flesh, bone, and soul. When revved up, steering is much slower but takes the Hillbilly into a sprinting rage. Unlike other weapons, a successful hit will result in immediate dying state. Similarly to the Wraith's wailing bell, the chainsaw can be heard across the map regardless of the Hillbilly's distance from the survivor. The volume of the chainsaw will indicate the Hillbilly's location. When charged, running into a pallet will break the pallet with a reduced stun time. If hit directly, it will only stun the killer.

The Nurse

The Bonesaw

The bonesaw is the primary weapon of the Nurse. When she attacks, she swings her whole body into the swing. When hitting a survivor, she wipes the blood of on her left hand, unlike both the Trapper and Wraith. The bonesaw has a shorter lunge-attack range, but a larger range itself. This means that the Nurse has a bigger chance of hitting them by clicking than the other killers, but less of a chance when holding the attack button down.

Spencer's Last Breath

Spencer's last breath is the secondary weapon of the Nurse. By charging the blink, the Nurse can go far distances by 'teleporting' (blinking). The Nurse self-stuns when stopped with blinking. This reduces her FOV for a few seconds, depending on how far she blinked. The Nurse can hit survivors before self-stunning.

The Shape

The Kitchen Knife

The Shape is armed with a kitchen knife. This weapon is usual for a killer who still lives in an area wich usually wouldn't be abandoned. For his attacks with Evil Within I and II, he just slices the whole knife into the survivor. For his attack at Evil Within III, he lifts up the knife and hits a survivor with only the sharp part, and then letting the knife go straight into the survivor. This doubles the damage when striking someone.

Evil Within

When holding the secondary attack button down, the Shape receives 'stalking' points when looking at a survivor. Those points can be seen at the meter at the right of the generator counter. When the meter is full, the Evil within depletes back to 0, and the Shape levels up to the next level. There are three levels of Evil Within:

Icon Evil Within I Evil Within II Evil Within III
Ach adeptShape
  • Greatly reduced terror radius
  • Slightly decreased movement speed
  • Slightly decreased lunge attack range
  • Immunity to detection perks (such as Spine Chill and Premonition)
  • Mildly reduced terror radius
  • Slightly increased movement speed
  • Slightly increased lunge attack range
  • Normal terror radius
  • Succesful attacks put survivors into dying state automatically
  • 60 seconds duration

When the Shape gets the level II Evil Within, he can never go back to level I, unless a new match is started. Survivors only provide stalking points when the stalking ability is active and they have a white aura. When the aura is red, the stalking meter will not go up. When the Shape levels up on Evil Within, both the killers and survivors are noted by a little piano music: Level up to Evil Within II:

  • Hear a short and not too loud piano intro

Level up to Evil Within III:

  • Hear a longer and louder piano intro

Level down from Evil Within III to Evil Within II:

  • Hear a shorter and softer piano music intro.

The Hag

The Claw

The Hag is the first killer that doesn't use a weapon, instead she uses her own massive claw. Unlike other killers, when she hits a survivor, she lets the blood drip off of her claw. This is a bit similar to the Hillbilly, as he also drips the blood off of his hammer, after twisting it around.

The Phantasm Traps

The Phantasm Traps are also known as the Blackened Catalyst, by this name it is shown in the menu when selecting Perks, Addons and Offerings. The Hag can draw triangular shapes on the ground, wich are made of mud. When survivors get within the activation radius of the trap, wich can be increased by addons, then a hologram / phantasm version of the Hag appears. This version doesnt have a collision, unless the Hag has the scarred hand addon. There can only be 10 traps on the field, but the Hag can always place more, when an 11th trap is placed, the first placed trap will be removed. The Hag gets her traps back after a survivor triggers them. When a trap is activated, the Hag can press a button to teleport to that trap. When more traps are triggerd at the same time, she can look at the trap she wants to go to, and then press the button. The Hag can only teleport when in a certain range (this is standard 32 meters), and this can also be increased by addons. Phantasm Traps can be revealed with the Small Game perk. Just like bear traps, Phantasm traps can be disarmed and broken by survivors. By pointing a flashlight in the middle of a trap, the trap wil break. Unlike the Trapper's traps, the Hag always has traps in his inventory. The Hag gets an auditary and visual cue when a trap breaks (Needs testing).

The understanding picture is not the real ability picture of the Hag, but this was the most relative picture i could find.

Survivors

Although survivors had weapons during the Alpha version of the game, this feature was soon removed leaving only items for survivors.
The following is a list of items that can be used by survivors.

Flashlight

The flashlight is useful for survivors to help their teammates from a distance, as any Killer who looks in to the beam of the flashlight will stop their current action, making it extremely useful if a Killer is carrying or hooking a teammate. The flashlight is a weapon that is most powerful on the Wraith.

Toolbox

The toolbox works great in any situation, as it allows survivors to sabotage (destroy) meathooks, or repair generators quicker. Sabotaging hooks and bear traps are mostly the best way to use the toolbox.

With a Brand New Part addon, the repairing of a generator can be completed in a second with a secondary action using the toolbox, but it depletes the toolbox one use.

First Aid Kit

A First Aid Kit can be used to heal yourself, or another survivor. It is useful to have in all situations. It should be noted that the Nurse perk 'A Nurse's Calling' is a direct counter to the First Aid Kit.

Map

One of the best items to use, but not the greatest time limit. When seeing useful props / going near useful props it registers it to the map so you can see its aura when reading the map. With addons, the map can be used to find and track Black Locks.

File:Map.png

Skeleton Key

The Skeleton Key is one of the rarest survivor items in the game; it can be used to open black locks and auras can be read with it.
