Killing is an interaction unique to the Killers and allows them to bypass the usual Sacrifice mechanic.
Overview[]
Killing a Survivor is a special ability The Entity usually only grants to Killers that have proven themselves as devout servants, by burning one of the Memento Mori Offerings.
However, a handful of Killer Powers have an inherent ability to kill Survivors or can be modified with Add-ons to do so.
Daily Ritual[]
This special ability is required to fulfil any Daily Ritual that requires a Killer to kill a Survivor by their own hand.

- In-game, the act of killing a Survivor is often referred to as "Kill by your own hands".
- Killing bypasses the regular Hook-based Sacrifice mechanic and thus does not count towards any Achievements or Challenges that require Sacrifices.
- Survivors who have been killed will show a different skull icon on the HUD, compared to those that have been sacrificed.
