- "Misty Day, Remains of Judgement" is a painting found in Silent Hill 2 inside Silent Hill Historical Society.
- James Sunderland and his wife Mary visited the Historical Society on vacation three years before Silent Hill 2. When Pyramid Head manifested from James's subconscious thoughts, his physical appearance came from James's memory of seeing the painting.[1][2][3]
- The painting is an abstract depiction of the executioners from Silent Hill's history. These executioners wore red hoods to shield their eyes from their spears skewering the flesh of their victims.[4]
