Obsession

Obsession is a Game Mechanic in Template:IconLink that was introduced with Patch 1.2.1.

Some Template:IconLink and Template:IconLink can trigger the Obsession game play. If this happens, one Survivor is selected to be the Killer's Obsession for the trial. The Killer and the Obsession will see the claws of The Template:IconLink appearing around the Obsession's Status Icon, which is invisible though for the other three Survivors. The only way for them to know if there has been an Obsession in the trial is, when the Obsession dies or escapes, revealing the claws to all Players.

The effects of Obsession depend on the Perks and Add-ons that triggered it.

• Though Sole Survivor triggers the Obsession Mechanic, unless another aforementioned item is used the Obsession will have no impact on the trial.
